Legendary explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes is taking on ultra marathon, Marathon des Sables, the world’s toughest foot race.
The explorer is raising money for charity Marie Curie.
Commissioned to run the campaign
We have been commissioned to create and manage social media engagement and blogger outreach, produce stunning multimedia content and it’s amplification, media management and to join Sir Ranulph in the Sahara Desert for the duration of the race directing and producing editorial content from the field, we’ll also be producing live broadcasts for media partner the BBC.
Having spent 3 months covering Sir Ranulph Fiennes’ Everest Challenge in 2008 we are thrilled to be working again with both Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Marie Curie – who provide vital support for people with terminal illness.
We spent the day at Media City in Salford, Manchester with Sir Ranulph Fiennes when the challenge was announced on BBC Breakfast on January 8th 2015.
Catch up with how Sir Ranulph and his trainer Rory on how their training is going so far.
We’re always trying to push the boundaries of what we do and so we’re also going to be running an experimental storytelling research project whilst in the Sahara testing new technology and techniques for live storytelling – more on this soon.
You can follow all the action and donate on the Marie Curie website.
