TMF asked us to produce a series of short films to promote the appointment of their new brand ambassador Sir Ranulph Fiennes.

Ran has been described by the Guinness Book of World Records as, 'The Greatest Living Explorer' and with a lifetime of leading expeditions comes a lifetime of incredible stories and leadership insight.

We wanted to capture on film an intimate, behind the scenes look at his life taht captured both of these elements.

We dug deep into Ran’s archive of footage and photographs dating back to the 1960’s (including our own footage and photographs from a decade of filming Ran’s adventures) and identified exciting stories that would not only engage an audience but would also illustrate TMF’s key brand values.

Ran’s HQ is full of fascinating memorabilia and photographs, like the small children’s school globe that was used to plan the ground-breaking Transglobe Expedition which still has the crayon line on it from the 1970’s when Ginny, his wife, drew their route.

We chose key memorabilia and photographs of seminal moments in Ran’s life as prompts for storytelling that would serve to encapsulate TMF’s core values.
