BBC Education’s flagship initiative, Tiny Happy People, collaborated with Fieldcraft Studios to produce engaging and interactive social-first content aimed at empowering parents and caregivers in nurturing their children’s language and communication skills.

Tiny Happy People, a UK-wide service by BBC Education, emphasises the critical role of parents and caregivers in fostering early language development in children.

With the mission of providing children with the best start in life, Tiny Happy People commissioned Fieldcraft Studios to create a series of captivating and interactive social media content, and a live Instagram Q&A session featuring a midwife.

Objectives

The objectives of the collaboration were twofold:

To develop social-first content that effectively engages and expands the Tiny Happy People community on Instagram and Facebook.

To leverage Fieldcraft Studios’ expertise in producing engaging content for various social media platforms to create interactive animated posts and facilitate an engaging Q&A session with a midwife.

Execution

Fieldcraft Studios meticulously researched and cast Dilan, a male midwife with a captivating on-screen presence, for the live Q&A session.

Engaging Instagram reels were produced to encourage audience participation, prompting viewers to submit their questions for Dilan.

Filming on-location, Fieldcraft Studios captured Dilan’s insightful responses to the selected questions, ensuring authenticity and relatability.

Additionally, a comprehensive suite of social media content, including quizzes, games, and entertaining posts, was crafted to engage parents and caregivers, fostering meaningful interactions and community engagement.

Outcome

The collaborative efforts between Tiny Happy People and Fieldcraft Studios yielded a collection of engaging and informative content that resonated with parents and caregivers. Shared across Instagram and Facebook, the content effectively reached and connected with the target audience, sparking conversations and fostering a sense of community.
