Totally awesome to see our image of Sir Ranulph Fiennes running the Marathon des Sables in the Sahara being used to promote his new book, Heat, at Bond Street tube station.
The same image features on the back cover of the book.
The image was taken as Ran left a rest and water stop. Ran would only ever stop for as long as was necessary, preferring to keep just keep moving.
The Marathon des Sables is billed as the toughest foot race on earth. Ran, at 71, became the oldest Brit to complete it. Total legend!
The Marathon des Sables is the world’s most extreme foot race. We were commissioned to film Ran as he completed the challenge managing both the filming and daily live broadcasts for BBC Breakfast and the Telegraph.
