Our very own David Carter has the reached the summit of Mount Vinson the highest peak in Antarctica with explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes.
The climb is part of the Global Reach Challenge, a bid by Fiennes to be the first person to climb the highest mountain on every continent and cross the Arctic and Antarctic Oceans.
Fieldcraft Studios have been organising the expedition as well as filming each climb and producing all the outside broadcasts for BBC Breakfast and others.
The team faced temperatures of minus 40C and severe winds to climb the 16,050ft (4,892m) peak.
The team reached the peak around 11.00pm GMT on Tuesday.
Ran Fiennes is completing the Global Reach Challenge in order to raise money for Marie Curie, who provide care and support for people with a terminal illness.
