The Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science commissioned Fieldcraft Studios to produce a library of world-class photography of their UK labs and on their research vessel.
The Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (Cefas) stands at the forefront of marine science and technology, addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security.
To showcase their exceptional work, CEFAS sought to create a comprehensive library of high-quality photography.
Fieldcraft Studios collaborated closely with the Cefas team to plan and execute the photography project. A detailed production schedule was developed to cover Cefas’s three labs and the RV Endeaveaur, the Cefas research vessel, each located in different parts of the UK. The project required meticulous planning and coordination to ensure seamless execution.
Fieldcraft Studios successfully captured a series of photographs that showcased both the scientific endeavours and the people behind them. The photography sessions included portraits of Cefas staff and captivating images depicting science in action aboard the research vessel and within the labs. The result was a visually compelling library that portrayed Cefas’s commitment to excellence in marine science and technology.
Impact and Outcome:
The collaboration between Cefas and Fieldcraft Studios resulted in a collection of world-class photographs that not only showcased Cefas’s capabilities but also highlighted their dedication to addressing pressing global issues.
Through meticulous planning, innovative approaches, and a shared commitment to excellence, the project successfully captured the essence of Cefas’s work and its impact on shaping a sustainable blue future for all.
The photographs have been utilised across various communication channels, including Cefas’ website, publications, and outreach materials, enhancing its visibility and reputation as a leader in marine research.
