Using social media for a political campaign

Lord Maurice Saatchi, founder and chairman of M&C Saatchi, asked us to manage the social media and digital marketing for a political campaign, his Private Members Bill, The Medical Innovation Bill.

Social media strategy to build audiences

We ran the campaign for three years during which time we were responsible for both the strategic direction and daily management of the social media and digital marketing.

We also produced innovative events for key moments, such as the launch of the bill with a live broadcast from the Palace of Westminster.

This event delivered both significant public engagement and traditional newspaper coverage.

Influencer marketing

We have years of experience of working with influencers for numerous campaigns. For this campaign, we worked with medical and disease-specific bloggers and influencers.

Building digital tools

We also built the campaign website and a digital campaign tool that made it easier for the public to easily respond to a Department of Health (DoH) public consultation.

This tool helped to generate one of the largest ever digital responses to a Department of Health consultation.

You masterminded the most effective parliamentary and social media campaign.

Sustaining engagement over several years

Driving public engagement at scale was a key requirement of this campaign.

We achieved this by producing a number of high-impact public engagement events that generated extensive national media coverage and helped us to grow our audience.
